HealthPoint Fitness in Jackson offers more than 30 aerobic classes per week. We do our best to offer classes to meet your fitness needs. Classes such as Easy Does It, Body Sculpting and Yoga will help you meet people while you tighen and tone your body.
Most classes meet on the second floor in the aerobics room, but some are held in the Community Room. A non-member who is interested in attending aerobics classes can attend for $8 per class. (This does not include the use of cardiovascular or weight training equipment.) |

While our class lineups change, here's a sample of our class offerings:
Basic Mat Pilates – Pilates, a gentle exercise that can yield visible results, uses a combination of yoga and strength to tone, strengthen and stretch muscles. "20-20-20" Exercise Class: This exercise class is designed for cardio and strength training through three classes rolled into one: 20 minutes of cardio; 20 minutes of strength training; 20 minutes of abs/stretch.
Boot Camp – Are you ready to work out like you never have before? If so, you need to be in this intense class designed to resemble a military workout. This class is appropriate for the more advanced participant.
Line Dancing – It's time to kick up your heels and try line dancing and some country steps to keep you in great shape.
BodyPump – Challenge yourself with the original barbell class that strengthens and tones your entire body. Please attend a technique class before attending a BODYPUMP™ class.
BodyStep – Feel liberated and alive with the energizing step workout that pushes fat burning systems into high gear
Yoga – All yoga classes, with the exception of Yoga Plus, are taught by instructors trained in YogaFit®, a non-purist form of yoga specifically designed for the fitness industry. Classes combine the ancient Hatha Yoga practice with modern fitness movements and safety guidelines.
Yoga Plus – A flow yoga class incorporating proper body alignment with breath work in a non-competitive environment. This class, taught by a Yoga Alliance-certified instructor, promotes balance and strength as well as relaxation and peace. (75 min)
Stretch – This “feel good” class focuses on increasing flexibility and enhances relaxation. (30 min.)
Gliding – Want to GLIDE through your workout? This class offers a unique and challenging total body workout that includes abdominal, cardio and muscle conditioning exercises. Participants use round discs under the feet for core, flexibility and strength training.
ABS Class – Want to tighten that tummy? Try our 15-minute ABs class and see your abs tighten before your own eyes.
Body Sculpting – Interested in building defined muscles but not yet comfortable using the weight equipment? Come try out this class designed to turn loose muscle into hard and strong muscles. Get ready to feel the burn.
Body Toning – This class is very similar to the Body Sculpting class, but is geared to more advanced participants.
Indoor Cycling – This group bicycle workout takes you through periods of increased intensity and resistance and helping you get the most out of your workout.
Cardio KickBoxing – Get your heart pumping with kickboxing.
Cardio Combo – Do you like surprises? This is the class for you. Here you may start with step class and finish with kick boxing.
