PT Neuro Team
Healthpoint Rehab’s neuro team consists of Donna Miller, MSPT, Kristen McRaven, OTR/L, Debbie Hayden, RN, BSN, OTR/L and Cathy Tanksley, MA, CCC/SLP, CPCRT.
The physical, occupational and speech therapists work with patients as a team to improve function and regain independence. Diagnoses include, but are not limited to, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, amputation, and Parkinson’s disease.
The Neuro Team utilizes many innovative devices and therapies to assist in maximizing the patient’s progress. Bioness offers a neuromuscular electrical stimulation device that allows for more independent and functional hand movements.

VitalStim is an electrical stimulation device used by Cathy Tanksley, MA, CCC/SLP, CPCRT for dysphagia or swallowing problems resultant from stroke or brain injury. |

Our therapists use vision retraining to help with double vision or other visual problems that often occur following brain injury or stroke. |

The standing frame and LiteGait treadmill are used during physical therapy treatments to help improve standing tolerance and gait. |

HealthPoint Rehab also offers aquatic therapy for patients post-stroke, brain injury or spinal cord injury which allows them to perform movements and activities they are unable to perform on land. |
